Nowadays, more and more ladies love leather shoulder bags. Because there is no other texture can compare with it, and leather also has many kinds with different quality, which make ladies fall in with them. For example, in leather, slick-surfaced leather is often used, because its tension strengthen is good, it is able to bear or endure dirty, friction and has good air permeability. About nubuck, it not only has elegant surface, and good air permeability, but it still has weak points that is easy to be dirty and not good to take care, especially in bad environment, it is very easy to absorb dust, and after touched water, it also will fall over. And there is another leather called modified leather, which is made up by processing daub on the surface of leather, and it can press with different grains.

While, there are many fake leather mixed with real leather in market, we should open our eyes to discern leather. Below I will introduce several common ways to you when you buy a leather shoulder bag or handbag.

No. 1 Touch Feeling
When you touch the handbag’s surface, it is smooth (except grain leather), soft, plump and stretchy, thus it is real leather.

No. 2 Look
Look is mainly used to identify leather’s kind and grain leather’s stand or fall, to watch the surface of leather has obvious pores and lines, while fake leather is also imitated pores, but its pores are not realistic and clear. Moreover the reverse side of fake leather is a layer of fabric as baseboard, and this kind of baseboard is used to increase its tension strength, which is not existing in leather bags. Hence this is the simplest and most practical way to identify leather handbags.

No. 3 Odour
A good-quality leather generally has no peculiar odour, and if only it is leather, it will have leather odour. If there is acrid odour, it may be some chemical raw material is exceeding standard to use in wording process.

No. 4 Light
After lighted, leather’s odour is same as fired hairs, and won’t be lump, use fingers to pinch it can be powder. While, the fake leather, after lighted, will produce acrid odour, and form to lump.

It is often said that fashion is cyclical and that styles often come back around. That may be one reason why vintage clothing is so popular. There is something about a well-made dress or outfit from the past that makes people stand up and take notice. Is it the handmade quality that draws people in? Maybe it is the personalised touch of clothing made to measure. Or the nostalgia of bygone eras when things seemed simpler. Whatever the reason, vintage and vintage-inspired clothing is back in style again.

Collectible Fashions

Vintage clothing is sought after because it has a history to it that makes it unique. Often, the clothes were created for a specific person to wear, made to their measurements and hand-crafted. Some clothing may have been designed to be worn to a special event like a wedding or party. You can often find fashions that were worn for a specific purpose kept in a museum as a link to that event. Collectors are often willing to pay top dollar at auction to own vintage fashions that were worn by people who are considered to be style icons like Diana, Princess of Wales or Elizabeth Taylor.

Since fabric does not always age well, it can be difficult to find vintage clothing that is in wearable condition. Tears, rips, and holes are common problems for clothing that has been worn before. Fabrics may also become discoloured or faded in storage. If you are planning to wear a vintage outfit, you may need to have it restored first. On the other hand, if you are collecting and displaying vintage clothes, proper care will need to be taken to ensure that it stays in good condition for years to come.

Newer Options

For those who like the look of vintage clothing, but don’t want to go to the effort of locating, restoring, and possibly altering the clothes, vintage-inspired fashion may fit the bill. Designed to incorporate the lines and styles of vintage fashions, vintage-inspired clothes are a creative homage to the past. These inspired looks are unique because they combine the simplicity of design of the past with today’s fabrics and textiles to create completely new and fresh looks.

There are many up-and-coming, fashion-forward designers that incorporate vintage elements of style into their clothing. You can find many of their boutiques online and have their designs shipped directly to you for reasonable prices. This way, you can have a touch of vintage style in your modern wardrobe without breaking the bank.

Vintage clothing brings many memories and moments to mind and as fashion continues to be reinvented, it will always be in style.

If you’ve found a good deal on an engagement ring or a wedding band, try to first learn about the jewelry store. Call them on the phone and speak to a representative. Ask some questions about where they source their materials (Israel? China/Thailand? Europe?). Probe for information and make sure that they sell only “conflict-free” diamonds.

2. Study their return policy carefully. In case your purchase does not work out, you should always have a reasonable way out.

3. Don’t fall for huge discounts (Rule of thumb: scrutinize any discounts over 30%). With gold prices on the rise and jewelers hunting for profits, be sure that you are getting a quality product for a reasonable price. Large discounts are typically the result of an artificially inflated price on inventory, often with poor turnover, which is then put -on sale- and given an unreasonably large discount to make it attractive to bargain hunters.

4. When shopping online, have a general idea of the current cost of gold per gram. This number alone will often help you differentiate a bargain from a marketing ploy.

5. Be careful about purchasing from publicly traded jewelry companies as they are under intense pressure to increase profits for shareholders, look attractive to wall street analysts and to cut costs, which could translate into higher prices and lower quality for the end consumer.

6. When you finally receive your purchase, make sure that you got what you paid for. Use a magnifying glass and check for the metal stamp (14K or 585, 18K or 750, PT950, etc-). Even better, take your purchase to a local jeweler and have it inspected for quality and accuracy.

7. Ideally the jewelry you purchase should have a stamp of the manufacturer. (For example, -Encore DT-, -DT Collezioni- or -EDT- when space is limited).

8. Always inspect your purchase for dents, scratches or any other signs of wear and tear. We have heard of companies shipping out used jewelry that was posted and sold as new.

9. If the jewelry you purchased has diamonds or semi-precious stones (especially rings and earrings with sapphires, rubies, emeralds, etc-), have a local jeweler inspect to make sure that the stones are properly positioned in the setting and are not likely to fall out.

10. If you ordered a paired piece of jewelry (such as earrings), make sure that both are equal in size, have the same shape and are of the same color.

11. When you find an online jewelry store, look for signs of credibility. Online stores will often have icons in various places on their websites with logos of third party companies that guarantee the safety of your private financial information (SSL, Authorize.net, PayPal, etc-), previous customer testimonials and successful conflict resolution (Yelp, Facebook and BBB), and some assurance about dealing strictly with conflict-free diamonds.

12. When you finally decide to purchase, search for online coupons or promo codes on Google, Yahoo or any other search engine. Whether it’s a diamond engagement ring, a wedding band or a pendant, there is almost always a coupon out there you can use and save money with. Cheers, good luck and make it a great buy!

13. Nowadays many buyers chose engagement rings under $100 to make proposals with simply because they don’t want to make expensive decisions without their significant others. Later, a couple will chose a diamond ring together. This can be a perfect strategy to make a great gift and not spend more then you should.

Gold Jewelry may be beautiful, but digging up gold can be very dangerous if you dont know what youre doing. In continents like Africa, which never really got out of the idol worship polytheistic the gods are in control of everything and history has no direction mentality, have never caught up with the rest of the world. They are, and have always been, people of the land. Make your living off the land, and thats it. So much of the poor countries make their living off of what they can dig up from the earth. Gold is one of those things, and gold jewelry is what they sell. The problem is, in order to make gold jewelry, you have to first separate gold form gold ore. And usually, this ore contains lead, which you definitely dont want as part of your gold jewelry, mostly since it is lethal.

But since countries like Nigeria rely on gold jewelry markets to make their living, they have to separate the ore, and with that comes lead into their soil, and from there, lead poisoning is not far behind. And so it happened that this year, 163 people were killed by lead poisoning in a village in Nigeria, after it had been discovered that lead made up 10,000 parts per per million in the soil. Thats 1% lead. Thats really, really high, and very, very deadly. The problem with the gold jewelry mining industry is that if its not regulated and its every family for itself, the lead has nowhere to go but down and into the drinking water. Aside from 163 people dying, thousands have been effected by the adverse effects of lead poisoning. And gold jewelry isnt going to make them feel any better about it.

Right now, theyre simple taking the top soil and throwing it into plastic bags to shipped off and forever unbothered like nuclear waste. What will happen to the gold jewelry industry there remains unclear but it probably wont end, since they have no way of making money and sustaining themselves. And even if the villagers know for now that gold ore can kill you if you dont extract the gold safely, there probably wont be much regulation, since African culture is a tribal culture, and governments dont really know what theyre doing exactly. It is likely that the gold jewelry industry will be slightly more safe as individual families do what they can to protect themselves against lead poisoning, but a concerted effort to regulate the gold jewelry industry in any African country save South Africa seems far fetched.

And we cant simply go in and build infrastructure for them. Western culture cannot be forced on African culture. Any initiative will have to be their own. All we can do is warn. So if youre wearing any gold jewelry right now, appreciate it. Someone may have gone through much danger to get it to you from the Earth.
